Sophisticated Rename (SR) is a program that allows you to rename a lot of files according to intricate templates.
- To create new names, you can use various parts of original names, and no matter what their sizes or places are.
- Numberless counters, variables, constants, conditions for every name.
- Search and replace.
- Insert extra variables in new names: EXIF information (jpeg, tiff files), ID3v1/v2 info (mp3 files), filesize, filedatetime and so on. You can also use conditions (if AA is in a certain relation with BB, then result = CC else result = DD).
- Unlimited number of operations for each template (actually, 32000).
- If a few files don't comply with the template, you can edit them manually.
- Save all settings in one preset and load them when you need them again.
- Batch processing of date/time/attributes/case.
- Result preview and safe renaming: you can undo changes if you find them improper.
